To play Flash, go to Settings/ Applications/ Internet/ Preferences and make sure the 'Run Flash' is highlighted with the green icon.

That's it.

Dear CGY Guy
My Question is How to Play FLV file (OFFLINE) on Wave S8500?
FLV files are copied from my laptop & phone says unsupported file format type.

Ahh, you want to play them offline... In that case, you need to convert them to another format like .avi for them to work. The Flash player is in the browser, not a stand-alone app on the phone.

well since samsung wave supports .jar files can I like install realplayer.jar instead ?

It seems the video converter in Kies can convert .flv files to other formats. I haven't tried it yet, so give it a whirl!

You may be able to, but .jar and .jad app files sometimes fail.

oh no! i used to have the file... where is it now... yeah i previously was a nokia 5800xm user though .. i dl-ed the files.. i cant remember the source where i got it from...
you can try googling realplayer for nokia lol!! its .jar file... but i dont think it'll work with wonders ... =S

Yes Kies converts flv to mp4 format. But it create huge file. For my 11MB flv, it created 98MB mp4 which took more than 20 minute to transfer to fone via bluetooth. I tired AVS convertor and it created only 25MB mp4. Quality is almost same in both cases.

Note: AVS convertor is not free. Its trial version puts a watermark in the middle of video screen.

I am still looking for a good FREE flv to MP4/WMV (or any other wave supported format)  convertor.

Convert flv to 3gp using kies. Its file size is almost same to flv (17MB flv to 19MB 3gp). Transfer 3gp to phone and it works great Smiley

Another tool to convert flv to another file is SUPER (it free and open source). I just downloaded it. Will give it a try and post the experience.

Select the Product type as "Desktop" in Kies, Now you can convert to SVI,MP4,3GP,3GP2  formats.
